The 18-Year Challenge

Government rules secure the life of an orphan child only up to the age of 18 years. Often, youth leaving institutions face the risk of discontinuing education and lack the vocational skills or support systems needed to compete in the global market. CHILDREN'S AADHAR FOUNDATION believes in a holistic rehabilitation program to help these youth live independent lives with self-confidence and professional skills.

The Need & Socio-Economic Context

Poverty has always been recognized as a major cause of death and disability. In slums and rural areas of Mumbai and Maharashtra, families often struggle as earning members cannot cope with the sheer intensity of the situation. Lack of food, shelter, healthcare, and education forces children into cycles of dropouts and marginalization.

The World Health Organization (WHO) identifies poverty as a 'ruthless killer.' Our foundation addresses this root cause by providing the stability children need to pursue their education without the fear of starvation or homelessness.

Global Sustainability Goals

Our targets align with the 2025 Global Goals: ensuring all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care, and pre-primary education, so they are fully ready for primary schooling.

Project Location: Mankhurd

Located at a serene site in Mankhurd, Mumbai, our project area provides a healthy ambiance with dormitories, dining halls, and study areas. It’s a place where children can grow, nurture their talents, and feel truly at home.

Project Goals & Objectives

  • Provide food, shelter, and education for 25 destitute children.
  • Address holistic health development and regular medical care.
  • Create a congenial atmosphere with parental love and guidance.
  • Ensure children can pursue their dreams in a healthy environment.
